Sarsfields took custody of the Micka Brennan Trophy by virtue of their 2.16 to 2.12 victory over Glen Rovers in a well contested game at Riverstown tonight. Played in wet conditions Sarsfields took a 5 point lead into the break with the scores at 1.8 to 6 points. Glen Rovers rallied in the second half and took the lead 1.11 to 1.10 with 12 mins remaining. However, Sars responded well and late points secured victory in a game that also doubled up for League points. Picture shows Oliver Brennan presenting the trophy to Sars captain Alan Kennedy.
